Social Media Content & Strategy

Instruction Partners

During the summer of 2018, I worked as the Communications Intern for Instruction Partners, an education non-profit in Nashville. I designed and implemented a social media marketing strategy: drafting tweets, designing graphics, engaging with followers, and brainstorming campaigns and other promotions. IP’s audience primarily consists of teachers and educators, of which there is a large Twitter community. Though schools were not in session while I was working with IP, the organization held several intensive professional development weeks for teachers and educators across Tennessee, Florida, and Indiana. My goal for the Twitter account was to provide relevant evergreen resources that teachers could implement when the school year started, as well as promote Instruction Partners' teacher training events (Bootcamps) and encourage engagement among attendees. IP’s Twitter follower count grew 200% in a month.
